Itinerary

Day 1: 09 October

Embark on a journey from Las Vegas to the awe-inspiring Bryce Canyon National Park, where your day will culminate in a stunning sunset and captivating night photography opportunities.

As you arrive at Bryce Canyon, prepare to be amazed by the intricate spires, towering hoodoos, and vibrant colors that define this unique landscape. As the day transitions into evening, find the perfect spot to witness the sunset painting the sky with an array of hues, casting a warm glow over the majestic rock formations.

But the adventure doesn't end there. As night falls and the stars emerge in the darkened sky, Bryce Canyon transforms into a haven for astrophotography enthusiasts. With minimal light pollution and clear skies, the park offers unparalleled opportunities to capture the beauty of the cosmos against the stunning backdrop of the hoodoo-filled amphitheaters.

Day 2: 10 October

Start your day with a sunrise experience amidst the iconic hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park. Capture the intricate formations and vibrant colors as they come to life under the morning sky, creating images that evoke a sense of wonder and serenity.

After immersing yourself in the beauty of Bryce Canyon, continue your photographic journey to Factory Butte for an enchanting sunset and captivating night photography session. Located in the remote desert of southern Utah, Factory Butte offers a striking backdrop for capturing the changing colors of the evening sky as the sun dips below the horizon. 

As darkness falls, transition to night photography mode and capture the celestial wonders above Factory Butte. With minimal light pollution and clear skies, the desert landscape becomes a canvas for the stars, allowing you to capture the Milky Way.

Day 3: 11 October

Start your day with an otherworldly experience as you awaken to the sunrise amidst the Mars-like landscapes. As the first light of dawn illuminates the unique rock formations, you'll feel as if you've stepped onto another planet.

Continue to Goblin Valley State Park and find the perfect vantage point to capture the enchanting beauty of the sunset against the backdrop of the park's striking rock formations. 

But the adventure doesn't end there. As darkness falls and the stars emerge in the night sky, Goblin Valley State Park becomes a haven for Milky Way photography enthusiasts. With its remote location and minimal light pollution, the park offers the perfect conditions for capturing the Milky Way in all its splendor. Set up your camera and tripod, and marvel at the sight of the galaxy stretching across the heavens above Goblin Valley, creating images that are truly out of this world.

Day 4: 12 October

Begin your day with a sunrise photography session at Moonscape Overlook, where the landscape resembles something out of a science fiction movie. 

After immersing yourself in the surreal landscapes of Moonscape Overlook, continue your photographic journey to Arches National Park for a captivating sunset experience. As the day draws to a close, find a prime spot to witness the sun sinking behind the park's iconic sandstone arches, casting a warm, golden glow over the majestic rock formations.

Lastly, indulge in the enchanting realm of night photography amidst the captivating rock formations of Arches National Park. As darkness descends and the stars begin to twinkle overhead, the park transforms into a celestial wonderland, offering endless opportunities for capturing the beauty of the night sky.

Day 5: 13 October

Awaken to the awe-inspiring beauty of Canyonlands National Park as you witness the breathtaking sunrise at Mesa Arch. Perched on the edge of a sheer cliff, Mesa Arch frames the rising sun in a spectacular display of light and color, creating a vista that is nothing short of mesmerizing.

As the day unfolds, continue your photographic journey to the otherworldly landscape of Bentonite Hills. Here, amidst the alien-like terrain and surreal rock formations, you'll witness the setting sun casting a warm glow over the landscape, painting the sky with hues of gold and crimson.

 
 
 
 

Day 6: 14 October

Begin your day with the serene beauty of the sunrise at Capitol Reef National Park. As the first light of dawn paints the sky with soft pastel hues, you'll witness the dramatic landscape of towering cliffs, colorful canyons, and twisted rock formations come alive with golden light.  After immersing yourself in the beauty of Capitol Reef, continue your photographic journey to Zion National Park for a sunset experience. As the day draws to a close, find a spot to witness the sun dipping below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over Zion's towering sandstone cliffs and lush river valleys. 

Day 7: 15 October

Begin your day with sunrise at Zion National Park, where the first light of dawn paints the towering sandstone cliffs and emerald canyons with a warm, golden glow. Find a quiet spot along one of the park's scenic trails or viewpoints to witness the spectacle of nature as the sun rises over the majestic landscape.

After immersing yourself in the splendor of the sunrise at Zion, embark on a scenic drive back to Las Vegas, ensuring ample time for late departures.  Upon returning to Las Vegas, take one last opportunity to savor the sights and sounds of the city before bidding farewell to your desert adventure. Whether you choose to explore the vibrant nightlife of the Las Vegas Strip or simply relax and unwind before your departure, take comfort in knowing that you've experienced the beauty and wonder of Utah's National Parks and badlands, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of photography skills from novice to expert.

We will split our time between classroom and field work.

Fitness Level

On most of our locations, a light or minimal hike is needed (15 minutes walk). Please make sure that you exercise and have a general check up before the tour.
