Itinerary

Day 0: Before 31 January

As our tour commences early on Jan. 31st, we suggest arriving the day before to ensure you're ready for the start of the tour. We'll provide a recommendation for a hotel where you can make your own booking. Our arrival airport is Leknes airport.

Day 1: 31 January

Embark on your journey with an early morning departure from Leknes, the gateway to the mesmerizing beauty of the Lofoten Islands. We venture on a scenic drive towards the iconic village of Hamnøy, cradled amidst the dramatic peaks and tranquil waters of the Norwegian Sea. Upon reaching Hamnøy, you'll be greeted by the enchanting sight of traditional red fishing cabins, evoking a scene straight out of a fairytale. This charming village will serve as our base for 3 days as we embark on an exhilarating quest to capture the captivating Arctic winter light and witness the mesmerizing aurora borealis.

Day 2: 01 February

Explore the timeless beauty of Hamnøy, Reine, and Å, three iconic destinations nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Lofoten Islands.  Whether you're capturing the dramatic landscapes through your lens or simply savoring the tranquility of these charming villages, a visit to these three locations promises to be an unforgettable experience that will stay with you long after you've left the shores of Lofoten.

Day 3: 02 February

Embark on a captivating trip to two of the most enchanting destinations in the Lofoten Islands: Skagsanden and Fredvang. Begin your exploration at Skagsanden Beach, where golden sands meet turquoise waters against a backdrop of rugged mountains. Capture the dramatic beauty of this pristine beach with your camera, as the ever-changing light creates an ethereal atmosphere. Next, venture to Fredvang and the iconic Fredvang Bridges, a series of arched bridges that span the narrow straits between the islands, providing a perfect vantage point for capturing the stunning natural scenery. As the day draws to a close, immerse yourself in the magic of the Arctic night by embarking on an exhilarating aurora-hunting adventure. Venture into the darkness, far from the lights of civilization, to seek out the elusive Northern Lights dancing across the sky.

Day 4: 03 February

Photograph the breathtaking sunrise before bidding farewell to the picturesque village of Hamnøy. Embark on a journey to Leknes, where you'll enjoy a delightful 3-day stay. Along the way, we'll explore the dramatic coastline of this area, as we continue our hunt for the elusive Northern Lights.

Day 5: 04 February

Explore the stunning beaches of Uttakleiv and Haukland, each offering its own unique charm and beauty. Begin your adventure at Uttakleiv Beach, often hailed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Lofoten Islands. Be sure to keep an eye out for the iconic rock formations that dot the coastline, adding to the beach's natural allure. Visit Haukland Beach, a true gem of the Lofoten archipelago. Here, golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see, framed by rugged cliffs and crashing waves.

Lastly, for those seeking an authentic Arctic adventure, consider joining an optional arctic fishing trip departing from Leknes. Cruise along the crystal-clear waters of the Norwegian Sea, learning traditional fishing techniques from local experts as you cast your line in search of cod, halibut, and other prized catches.

Day 6: 05 February

Begin your day with a serene sunrise at Vik. After soaking in the breathtaking views, embark on an exploration of Flakstad, a hidden gem known for its rugged coastline and pristine beaches. As evening falls, prepare for our final aurora borealis hunt. Venture to a secluded spot away from city lights, where the dark skies offer the perfect canvas for nature's dazzling light show. With cameras ready and hearts full of anticipation, witness the mesmerizing dance of the Northern Lights.

As you bid farewell to the Lofoten Islands, take with you the memories of breathtaking sunrises, unforgettable adventures, and the magic of the aurora borealis, knowing that you have experienced the true essence of this Arctic wonderland.
